Danfonds has an insightful view of Carbon Finance and its role in helping to combat the problems of Climate Change.

 

Danfonds vision is to become a leading adviser in the creation and trading of both official CER's and voluntary VER's and their associated environmental products.

It is our mission is to create trading contracts using bilateral/multiparty agreements, in accordance with the:

• International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA)

• International Emission Trading Association (IETA)

• European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET)

We believe we have a unique solution to global warming.The financial markets provide a unique way of limiting CO2 emissions through the creation of a carbon credit market. Each carbon credit represents one tonne of C02. The carbon credit market creates a monetary value for carbon credits and allows Danfonds to structure and trade these insturments.
